Amy is the Monroe County Auditor in Bloomington, IN.
Prior to that, she was a Deputy Auditor and a Deputy Recorder in Monroe County. She is also the single mother of two children, a Democrat and a graduate of Indiana University.

Community Involvement
Amy is currently a board member of the Indiana Forest Alliance. Indiana Forest Alliance is a network of groups and individuals working to involve the people of Indiana in efforts to protect and restore Indiana's forests, hold corporations and government agencies accountable for their actions and establish sustainable economic and political models that will ensure the long term well being of Indiana's forests.
Amy also participated in the WomenSpeak Readers Theatre. WomenSpeak was a multi-media performance that featured historical and contemporary women’s voices. It was organized and directed by Bloomington City Councilwoman-At Large, Susan Sandberg. WomenSpeak performed on several occasions in 2005 and 2006. Amy recited the inspiring words of Rose Winslow, a Polish immigrant (born Ruza Wenclawska) and a Suffragette. Ruza participated in the hunger strike that led to the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting American women the right to vote. The hunger strike was also dramatized in the HBO Movie, Iron Jawed Angels

Amy also served on the Monroe County Youth Services Advisory Board (2005 Commissioner Appointee) and was a Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build volunteer (May 2005).
